Francis Stickney has been a major figure in premium property sales along the river Thames for almost fifteen years. After starting his career in South West France with Sotheby’s International Realty in 2008, he moved back to London in 2012 and joined Chiswick based Agents RiverHomes where he remains to this day.
As Head of Waterside House Sales he has developed an impressive reputation for selling multi-million pound houses along the river from Weybridge/Staines to Chelsea/Putney (both sides of the river) , frequently achieving above-market prices for his clients.
Aside from his work with RiverHomes Francis also runs a property development company – FSA Properties – specialising in extensions, loft conversions and general refurbishment alongside a property investment portfolio. Experience in this arena has proved invaluable to helping his estate agency clients in developing their own properties to maximum advantage.
Francis gained his commercial experience from an earlier career in the wine trade. From a standing start, in 1982, he became Wine Salesman of the Year at IDV (now part of Diageo). There then followed a period working for Möet and Chandon before joining the prestigious Bordeaux wine merchants Cordier.
In 1992 Francis set up a specialist wine agency (FSA Wines) exclusively distributing wines from across the world and quickly developed a portfolio of Five Star hotels, restaurants and premium retail outlets such as Harrods, Selfridges and Fortnum and Mason. The business was sold to Sogrape in 2007.
Francis was born in West London and spent his childhood living by the river on Chiswick Mall and still lives there today and as such his knowledge of the area is unrivalled.
